Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas, also called Ashanti was born on 13 October, 1980 in Glen Cove New York United States. She's a performer and an actress who hails from the United States. Ashanti began her career when she was a teenager she was signed by Murder Inc. Records by 2002. Ashanti was featured as Fat Joe's What's Luv? song and Ja Rule's Always On Time track both of which became massive hits. In the year she debuted her debut single What's Luv which ranked at the second spot on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and Foolish at number one featuring Foolish being her first single, she became the only female to achieve this feat. She became the first female artist to have both the top two spots on Billboard Hot 100 in America and with the number one spot held by Foolish. one and What's Love?
